ELECTRONICS
This section has its own mini site. Please let me emphasise that my approach to teaching electronics is very different to schools with a long history of technical excellence.
I am almost completely self taught and it has instilled in me that GCSE Electronic Products is about pupils designing and making a workable idea. To that end I have helped my students get excellent results with, frankly, very simple ideas, but wih emphasis on the design and testing with lots of eveidence of HOW pupils reached a workable conclusion. ALSO, in the past two years NOBODY has used a protoblock. I have sufficient access to ICT that we use LiveWire and PCBWizard software to prototype and test, only making at the very end.
I have made a number of in-depth worksheets on how to achieve this and if you look on the New Wave Concepts website, in the 'Downloads>Courseware sections, you will find files I have produced to teach beginners and intermesiates how to prototype effectively using ICT.
