Revision links
These
links give you an alternative way of revising. You should use a textbook
or some other printed guide which you can carry around for most revision,
but for stuff you don't understand at first, or when you are closer to
a screen than the book, these sites give an alternative way of explaining
basic electronics and systems.
PDF files of revision sheets for Year 11 pupils. They are two sheets of
A4 card which cut up into matchbox
sized cards with basic info on. Also a PDF
file of the box net to carry them in.
Doctronics.co.uk
Has an online textbook here. Only some working but very in-depth
Dean
Close school This is a staggering collection of circuits and PDF based
revision notes. Far more in depth than my site! Excellent place to pick
up single sheet revision guides on a wide range of topics.
WebEE.com Seems
to be a company which is also an educational organisation. Quite advanced
information in places but good fi you really want to know WHY something
works.
BBC
BiteSize Either the classic way to waste time while still appearing
to be doing something, or a good way of slipping in a few minutes learning.
Like a bed, its how you use it that makes it worthwhile..
Halbar Incredibly btoad ranging
site with a good set of links to other electronics sites.
Joke site about engineers
and electronic engineers None of these jokes were rude when I checked,
but the pages might change!
Revision is like juggling. If you don't practise, you wont be able to
do it.
If Electronics was meant to be easy at GCSE, Fisher Price would make the
components, Mattel would manufacture the cases and Barbie would feature
in the textbook.....
