The standard alarm uses an on/off switch to arm and reset the alarm.
A green LED to show the alarm is on.
A buzzer to show when the alarm is activated.
A red LED to show the alarm has been activated recently.
This gives the alarm four functions and makes it suitable for a wide variety of projects.

As input triggers, use anything which acts as a momentary on switch such as a tilt switch, pressure pad or a couple of paper clips.

The mini door hanger alarm is tiny and everything is mounted on the PCB which is cut to the door hanger shape as part of its CAMM program. It works extremely well.

All these designs would benefit from a flashing LED to show when they are switched on.
