IF YOU TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY... GIVE UP TEACHING
Tick Tock
Set a Metronome to 30 beats a minute and get the miscreant to put a cross on graph paper every tick. If your metronome is accurate, you can work out how long it will take them to fill them in, Stop them at exactly the right time and give them a longer detenion if their number of ticks don't match the time exactly....
Extra Evil, Place the metronome some distance away so they have to look up to see it.....
Stool Spacing
Give pupil 5 stools and 4 blunt pencils. They have to arrange the stools and pencils in a line so the pencils are trapped by friction, between the edges of the stools. Obviously moving the stools will make the pencils fall....
Extra Evil version, sharpen the pencils... Super deluxe evil version, sharpen both ends of the pencils...
PIN-APPLE
Give pupils a box of pins (lots) and an apple. Tell them to push 100 pins spaced around, into the apple so about 10mm is sticking out, then they have to roll the apple from one end of the table and knock over a whiteboard marker or other object. If the pins are not perfectly spaced and pushed in, the apple will roll eccentrically...
Extra Evil version: Use a Pear instead.......
Silly Script
Give pupils a lead from a .5mm or .7mm propelling pencil and toilet paper. Ask them to write a list of 50 things that break easily.
Extra evil, Use a mister spray to very slightly damp the paper so the lead catches and breaks or tears the paper easily.
Pickled Pictures
Using a thick board marker, pupils must copy a picture without lifting the marker from the paper, and then sign it. Paste it on the wall so everyone knows they did it.
Pointed Peril
Give the pupil a piece of dowel 300mm long, and a plastic pencil sharpener, they have to sharpen it all away. Extra Evil, Extra length dowel.
Tiny Tearaway
Draw a simple picture on a piece of A3 paper, get pupils to tear it up as small as posible in twenty seconds, maqke them believe the length of detention may be affected by how well they do.
THEN, Give them the surprise roll of sellotape and tell them to stick it back together again.
Tragic Toppler
You will need to get a set of wooden blocks cut out for this, about 500 is good. They should be the size of dominoes and you stand them up so one falling over will knock over the rest. Get them to spell out the word 'Sorry' with the dominoe shapes. Then at the end, YOU knock them over and then get them to pack them away.
Terrible Tangrams
Find some Tangram puzzles on the Internet and make a change to them so they are impossible to do, such as moving a rectangle around. It is important that there are the same 'area' in your doctored puzzles so it always appears they have done something wrong.
Horrid Hats
Give pupils highly coloured paper and sellotape and scissors. Tell them they have 15 minutes to make a very showy hat based on the theme - The Jungle.
While they are doing this, make a tabard from a big piece of paper which says 'Tell me what you think of my hat' on it. Make them walk three times around the school wearing it attracting the attention of other pupils.
Extra Evil part, Get them to make shoes as well.
